Centrad

We're up on the second floor of the Kamdhenu Complex on Productivity Road. It’s a bit of a climb if the elevator is acting up, which happens more often than we’d like. Centrad isn't a huge place, just a few rooms where we handle our business. We’ve got some desks pushed together and a lot of paperwork. It’s not a shop where you walk in and see rows of things for sale. It’s more of a place where we coordinate stuff and talk to suppliers. The windows look out over the road, so we see all the traffic while we work. It can be a bit distracting when there's a parade or something. We have a small kitchen area where we keep the kettle. Most of our day is spent on the phone or writing things down in notebooks. We deal with a lot of different people, and sometimes things get a bit chaotic when three things happen at once. We don’t have a receptionist, so whoever is closest to the door usually gets it. It’s a bit informal. The carpet in here is actually quite old, which is funny considering what we do. We should probably replace it, but we’re too busy with other things. It feels like a real office, with half-empty pens and stacks of folders that need filing. We just keep at it. Sometimes we stay late to finish up the billing if the internet was slow during the day and delayed our work.
