Ashok Plastics

Our unit is over in the Makarpura Gidc area at 329/2, right off the Old Madras Road. If you know this part of the city, you know how busy the industrial estate gets with all the factories and warehouses. We mostly focus on plastic products, so there is always that specific smell of heat and materials in the air here. It is a large enough space for our machines, but we still manage to fill every corner with crates and finished goods. I start my day by checking on the workers and seeing what the production schedule looks like for the afternoon. The Old Madras Road outside is usually backed up with traffic, so we have to plan our deliveries carefully or they just get stuck for hours. The building itself is older, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for what we need. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there; we just want to get the orders done right for the people who buy from us. Sometimes a customer will stop by just to see how their parts are coming along, and we will sit and have a quick drink while the machines hum in the background. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. When the monsoon hits, we have to watch the roof for leaks, but that is just life in an old industrial unit. We keep the machines running and the plastic moving.
