Alpana Marble & Kota Stone

If you drive out to Vadodara and look opposite the Vrundavan Township, you will see our yard at number 19. That is where we keep Alpana Marble & Kota Stone. It’s a big open space because we need the room for all the heavy slabs we keep in stock. Dealing with stone is heavy work, and our backs usually feel it by the end of the week. We have piles of Kota stone in different sizes and some marble that we keep under a small shed so it doesn't get too dusty. The yard is a bit rough around the edges, with gravel on the ground and stone chips everywhere. We don't have a fancy office building, just a small cabin where we keep our ledgers and sit down to talk about prices. People from the township across the road often walk over to see what we have. We spend a lot of time loading trucks and helping people pick out pieces that aren't cracked or chipped. The sun can be really strong out there in the open, so we try to get the heavy moving done early in the morning. It’s a straightforward business. We buy the stone, we stack it, and we sell it to whoever needs it for their floors or walls. There is nothing complicated about how we run things here at number 19. We just work with the stone we have.
