A H Marble & Granites

Running a yard like this one at 13 Vadsar Rani Sati Road is a lot of heavy lifting. It is mostly just about moving stone from one side to the other. We have different types of marble and granite sitting around the yard. Most days it is quite dusty because of the cutting and the trucks coming in. You can see the slabs leaning against the walls if you drive past. It is a straightforward kind of work. We get a shipment, we unload it, and then we wait for someone who needs a piece for their floor or a counter. The sun can be pretty harsh out here on the road, so we spend a lot of time under the tin roof or in the small office nook. It is not the cleanest job in the world. Your hands get rough and your shoes are always white from the stone dust. We do not do much talking, mostly just measuring things out with the tape and marking where the cuts go. My family has been around this area for a long time. We know the neighbors and the other shop owners on this stretch of Vadsar. It is just a regular place where we sell what we have. People come in, they look at the patterns in the stone, and we tell them the price. No big sales pitch or anything like that needed here at our yard.
