You can find us over at 9-13B in Bengre, which is part of Padubidri in the Udupi Taluk. It’s a nice area near Nadsal. Vasudhesha Bio Farmer Producer Company Limited is a group of us who wanted to focus more on the bio side of farming. We’re not scientists in white coats; we’re just people who have spent a lot of time in the dirt and realized we needed to do things a bit differently. Our office is close to the coast, so the air is always a bit salty, and things tend to rust if we aren't careful. We spend our days meeting with local growers and talking about natural ways to keep the soil healthy. It’s a lot of listening and learning from each other. The office is usually a mess of seed samples and handwritten notes. We don't have a big corporate structure. If someone has an idea, we just talk about it over tea and see if it works. It’s a slow process sometimes, especially when you’re dealing with nature. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the land in Udupi stays good for the next generation. It’s hard work, and sometimes we don't have all the answers, but we keep showing up every day. If you’re passing through Bengre, our place is easy enough to find. We’re usually there till sunset most days of the week.
