Inna Karavali Farmers Producer Company Limited is tucked away at Sunkanthai Cottage. We are on the ground floor, right by the Praakruti Fruit Orchard in Inna Mundukur. It’s a nice enough place to work, especially with the trees around. We started this company to bring together the farmers in the Karavali region. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything, but being in Mundukur makes it easier to reach everyone. The office at the cottage is where we handle the memberships and the logistics for the fruit and other crops. We don't use any complicated systems, just regular record-keeping. Sometimes the orchard gets busy and we are out there more than we are in the office. It’s a practical setup. We don't have a big sign or a fancy lobby. People just know to come to Sunkanthai Cottage if they need to talk about the company business. We spend a lot of time talking about the weather because that’s what dictates our lives. The ground floor office is usually open for whoever needs to stop by. We try to help out where we can and keep the business running smoothly for all the members. It’s a local effort through and through. We aren't looking to change the world, just to make sure the farming around here stays viable for the next generation. It’s steady, quiet work in a beautiful part of the country where we grew up.
