Karavali Integrated Agro Producer

We started this work at the Flower Auction Centre in Doddanagudde, Udupi. Being at Upavan Gardens makes it easy for us to handle everything in one spot. It is a busy place with a lot of movement every day. The office is at # 1-4-27(A) where we keep track of the daily farming business. We spend most of our time dealing with the local growers and the people who come to the auction. It’s not a fancy setup, just a practical space to get things done. Farming around here has its challenges, but being integrated helps us manage the different parts of the work better. Most of us grew up around these lands, so we know how the weather and the market affect the crops. We don't spend much time on computers or making things look pretty. Our focus is mainly on the actual produce and making sure the logistics work out from the centre. It gets quite loud and crowded during the auction times, but that is just part of the routine. Sometimes the paperwork piles up, but we try to keep things moving as fast as we can. Being based in Karnataka, specifically this part of Udupi, means we are right in the middle of where the action is. We just do our jobs day in and day out, making sure the agro side of things stays on track without too much fuss. It’s a lot of manual work and regular coordination with the folks who bring their stuff in. We are just local people doing local work.
