Shree Laxmi Paw Bhaji & Pulav Centre

If you walk down RMV Road, you will probably hear the sound of the tawa before you see us. We are Shree Laxmi Paw Bhaji & Pulav Centre. It’s a lot of heat and steam coming off the big flat pans all evening. We start our prep work in the afternoon, mostly chopping mountains of onions and tomatoes. By the time the sun goes down, the place starts filling up. People stand around or sit on whatever chairs are free. It gets a bit chaotic when everyone wants their food at the same time. The smell of butter and spices is everywhere. We don't have a big menu, just paw bhaji and pulav. We figured it’s better to just do those things and not worry about anything else. The plates are stainless steel and we wash them as fast as we can to keep up with the crowd. RMV Road is a good spot because there’s always someone looking for a quick meal after work. We aren't a big restaurant with air conditioning or anything fancy. Just a local food stall where you get a hot plate of food. My apron is usually covered in stains by nine o'clock, but that’s fine. We just keep cooking until the vegetables run out for the night. It’s basic, fast, and it keeps people fed. We enjoy the nightly rush and the familiar faces.
