Shilpi Resort

This resort is situated near Shilpgram on Rani Road in Udaipur. It is a pretty well-known area because of the craft village nearby. We get a lot of people who are visiting the city but want to stay a little bit away from the main old town congestion. The property has some space for people to walk around. We have a pool that we have to clean pretty often because of the trees and the wind. The building is older, so we are always fixing something or painting a wall. That is just how it is with these types of places. In the mornings, you can hear birds, and it is actually quite peaceful before the traffic starts up on Rani Road. Our staff handles the check-ins and looks after the dining area. We serve breakfast and dinner mostly. The menu is not huge, but it covers the basics that most travelers expect. We see a lot of families during the holidays. Some people come for the events at Shilpgram and just stay with us because it is a short walk. We do not have a lot of fancy technology here, just a simple setup to make sure guests have a place to sleep and eat. We try to keep the garden green even when it is dry out. It is a straightforward business, really. We open the gates early and stay up until the last guest is back for the night.
