Sheetal

Our place, Sheetal, is over at 59 Hathipole. This area is always moving, with cars and people everywhere you look. We’ve been at this address for quite a while, and the shop has become a bit of a familiar sight for the locals. It is not a very big shop, just enough room for the goods and a place for us to sit. We spend a lot of time organizing the items on the shelves so people can see what we have. The front door stays open most of the day to let in the light and the air, though it also lets in all the street sounds. You get used to the honking and the shouting after a few days. We don't use a lot of fancy technology here; we still write things down in our ledger books. It’s a honest way to keep track of everything. Sometimes the lights flicker when the power gets a bit shaky, but we just keep going. We know most of our customers by their first names or at least their faces. It feels good to be part of the Hathipole market scene. We start our day early to beat the heat and stay until the sun goes down. It’s just a simple life running a shop in a busy part of town, and we don't need much more than that.
