Kumar Archtech

Kumar Archtech is located at New Fatehpura 11-A. It’s a workspace where we do a lot of drawing and planning. We have these very large tables because blueprints take up a lot of room. They are covered in pencils, erasers, and long rulers. The floor is hardwood but it’s got some scuffs from the chairs moving around. New Fatehpura is a nice neighborhood. We can see some greenery from the window. We spend most of our time sitting down. It’s a lot of quiet work. Sometimes the only sound is the scratching of a pencil or the clicking of a mouse. We have shelves filled with thick books about building codes and materials. They are heavy and mostly sit there. We have a small coffee machine in the corner that we use way too much. The walls are white and we have some sketches taped up here and there. It’s not a big corporate firm. It’s just a few of us. We don't wear suits. Usually, it’s just jeans and a shirt. We get some sunlight in the afternoon which makes it hard to see the computer screens, so we have to adjust the blinds. It’s a steady grind of making sure the lines are straight and the numbers add up. We stay late sometimes when there’s a lot to get through. It’s just the nature of what we do.
