Karohi Haveli A Heritage Hotel

This location of our haveli is out in the Amberi area, away from the main squeeze of the Udaipur city center. It’s still near Chandpole, but it feels a bit different out here. The building itself has that old heritage look that everyone expects, with the carved stone and the big heavy doors. We have to do a lot of maintenance because these old structures don't like to stay still. There’s always a stone to fix or a wall to whitewash. It’s a bit quieter than being right on the lake, which some people prefer. You can actually hear the birds in the morning instead of just motorbikes. We keep the rooms simple, trying to let the old architecture speak for itself. It’s not one of those places with a million buttons and gadgets. It’s more about sitting on the porch and watching the day go by. Our staff is mostly local folks who have been with us a long time. We don't have a big fancy office; we usually just manage everything from a small desk near the entrance. It’s a bit of a slower pace of life here. If you’re looking to get away from the noise and see a bit of the countryside feel while still being close to town, this is where we are. It's just a solid, old place that we take care of. We hope people find some peace while staying here.
