Hotel Shalimar Palace

We are tucked away inside Udaipole, which is very close to the Central Bus Stand. Because of where we are, we get a lot of people arriving at odd hours from the buses. It’s a busy, dusty part of town, but once you step inside our gates, it’s a bit more manageable. The building is a decent size, and we’ve been running it for a good while now. We keep the rooms simple. There’s no fancy art on the walls or designer rugs, just clean floors and functional furniture. Sometimes the plumbing makes a little noise when the tanks are filling up, but it works fine. We have a small crew of guys who help with the bags and the cleaning. They aren't in uniforms that are perfectly pressed, but they know what they’re doing. We don't have a big fancy dining hall, but we can usually get you some hot tea or a basic breakfast if you ask. The main thing about our place is that it’s convenient. You don't have to haul your luggage very far from the station. The street outside is always full of life, with vendors and travelers moving around constantly. It’s not the quietest spot in the world, but it’s right in the middle of everything. We try to keep the prices fair so that anyone can afford a room for a night or two. We just keep things moving every day here.
