Hotel Shakti Palace

You can find us at 76 Bhatiyani Chohata, right on Palace Road. Being in this part of the city means we’re surrounded by old buildings and narrow streets. Our hotel fits right in with that vibe. It’s an older structure, so the walls are thick and the layout is a little bit unusual in some places. We don’t have an elevator, so be prepared to walk up some steps if your room is on the higher floors. The benefit of being on Palace Road is that you’re close to everything, but it also means there’s a lot of noise from the street. Rickshaws and bikes go past all day long. Inside, we try to keep things calm. The rooms have the basic furniture you’d expect—a bed, a small table, and a chair. We spend a lot of our time making sure the linens are fresh and the floors are swept. We aren't a big chain, so things feel a bit more personal here. If you see me in the lobby, I’m probably checking the books or talking to the cook. Speaking of food, we do some simple meals if you don't feel like going out. It’s not a five-star experience, but it’s honest. Most guests are travelers who want to be near the sights without spending a fortune. We just provide a roof and a bed. It's a simple arrangement that works for us and our guests who come to visit Udaipur.
