Hotel Rehman

Our place is Hotel Rehman, located at 37623 near the Musafir Khana in Chamanpura. It’s a quiet enough area compared to the main markets. We mostly host people who are traveling and need a place that’s close to the Chamanpura side of town. The building is older, and we’ve had to do a lot of repairs over the years. It’s just how it is with these properties. We have several rooms, and they are kept plain without any extra frills. People come here because it’s convenient for them. We spend our mornings checking people out and getting the linens washed. It’s a lot of laundry. My cousin helps me with the day-to-day stuff. We don't have a big staff. If something needs fixing, one of us usually grabs a tool kit. We aren't looking to be the biggest hotel in the city. We just want to provide a spot for people to stay. The Musafir Khana nearby brings in a lot of folks who are just passing through. We talk to the guests when they sit in the common area. You hear a lot of interesting stories from people from different villages. We don't use any fancy booking systems. Most people just walk in or call us. It’s a straightforward business. We keep the tea kettle going for anyone who wants a cup. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s our living.
