About Hotel Mizan – Hotels, Motel & Resorts in Udaipur
Started the day at Hotel Mizan around five. Chetak Circle is already getting noisy by then. City 91 is right in the middle of everything, so you hear the buses and the horns constantly. We’ve got the rooms to tidy up and the front desk needs someone there always. It’s just how it goes. Sometimes the laundry takes forever to dry when it’s cloudy. I spent an hour yesterday fixing a leaky tap in one of the bathrooms. It’s not a big fancy place with carpets everywhere, just a building where people can sleep. We get travelers who are tired and just want a bed. The walls are painted a simple off-white, and the stairs are a bit narrow. My cousin helps out when he can, but mostly it’s just us keeping an eye on things. We don't have a big staff in uniforms. Usually, I'm the one answering the phone and checking the registers. The tea shop next door brings us over a few cups every morning. It gets dusty because of the construction down the road, so we are always sweeping the entrance. People come and go at all hours, so the door is always moving. It’s a lot of walking up and down the halls. The furniture is getting a bit old now, but it’s sturdy enough for what we need. Just a regular spot at Chetak Circle for anyone passing through town. I hope the fan in room four stays quiet today.
