Hotel Hilltop Palace

We are located up at number 5, Ambavgarh, right near the Fatehsagar side of things. Being on a hill means we have a different perspective than the shops down in the main market. You can see the water and the trees from up here, which is nice when the sun starts to go down. The building is quite big and has been here for years. It’s got a lot of stairs and different levels because of the way the ground slopes. We have a crew that looks after the garden and the rooms. Most of the time, it’s quiet up here compared to the noise of the city. We spend our mornings checking the supplies and making sure the floors are swept. The road coming up to Ambavgarh is a bit of a climb, but people seem to find us okay. It’s a local place, and we don't really do things the way big chains do. We know where the leaks are when it rains and which doors stick in the summer. It’s just a part of running an old building on a hill. We see people from all over who want to look at the lake. Our days are spent mostly on our feet, moving between the different parts of the property. It is a lot of work to keep a place this size going, but we have a good rhythm. We just focus on the daily tasks and making sure guests have what they need.
