Darbargarh Resorts is located on Rani Road in Udaipur, right opposite the church and near Sanjay Park. It’s a pretty good spot because of the park nearby. We spend a lot of time at the resort making sure the gardens are watered and the rooms are aired out. Being near Rani Road means we see a lot of people out for walks or heading to the lake. The office is right there on the property. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that. It’s just us, the owners and a few helpers, doing the daily tasks. Sometimes the monkeys from the park come over and cause a bit of trouble, which is always a story to tell. We deal with guests who come for the views and the peace. Managing a resort in Udaipur involves a lot of maintenance because the weather can be harsh on the buildings. We spend our afternoons checking the kitchen supplies and making sure the staff knows what to do for the next check-in. It’s a hands-on job. You might find us moving furniture or helping with the luggage if someone is busy. We don’t use polished scripts when we talk to people. We just say it like it is. Life at Darbargarh is about keeping the place running and making sure the gate is locked at night. It’s a simple life but a busy one.
