Our place is out here by the Maharana Pratap Khel Gaon, which is a bit of a landmark for anyone heading towards Bhuwana. Being on the 200 Ft Road means we see a lot of traffic going past, especially people heading to the R.T.O. right opposite us. It is a big resort, so there is always some kind of maintenance going on, whether it is fixing a leak or just trimming the plants in the garden. Udaipur can get really dusty with all the construction and the dry wind, so we spend a lot of time just keeping the floors clean. The staff mostly comes from the nearby areas like Chitrakoot Nagar, so we all know each other pretty well. It is not like those corporate places where nobody talks; we are always chatting in the staff room or by the gate. Guests show up at all hours, and we just try to get them sorted out without too much fuss. Sometimes the kitchen gets a bit chaotic when there is a big group, but we manage. You can see the hills from parts of the property, which is nice when the sun goes down and it finally cools off a bit. We have been operating under the Bhairav Garh name for a while now, but it still feels like a local operation most days. It is just work, keeping the rooms ready and making sure the lights stay on for the next person.
