Our place is out in Village Ghanoli, not too far from Dabok. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city areas, but that’s why we like it out here in the Mavli tehsil. We started this resort because we had the land and figured it would be good to have a spot where people can just sit and breathe. It isn't one of those massive places with hundreds of workers. It's mostly just a few of us from the village and the surrounding area. We spend a lot of time looking after the grounds and making sure everything stays green, which is hard during the dry season. The road out here is okay, but you have to watch for the turns. We don't really do big advertisements. Most people find us because they know someone who stayed here before. It's quiet mostly. Sometimes you can hear the animals from the nearby farms. We try to keep the rooms clean and the food simple, the way we eat at home. There’s always something to do, like fixing a leaky pipe or painting a wall that’s peeled from the sun. It’s just a regular local business. We don’t have a fancy front desk with a computer that works all the time. We just write things down in a book. It works fine for us. It’s a lot of physical labor but it’s our own thing and we stay busy.
