Ashok Gupta & Co

Our business, Ashok Gupta & Co, is located in Amberi along the NH-8 highway. We are right near the Government Nursery. It is a good landmark for people who are trying to find us for the first time. Being on the highway means there is a lot of noise from the trucks and buses passing by all day and night. The nursery nearby gives us a little bit of a view of some plants, which is nice in such a dusty area. We have a yard where we keep the materials and a small office building. It’s a very basic setup. Most of our work happens outdoors in the yard. We deal with various kinds of stone and we spend a lot of time loading and unloading. It’s physical work and it can be quite tiring when the weather is bad. We’ve been at this Amberi location for many years. We don’t have a marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us and the workers. We show the slabs to anyone who stops by. We have a couple of dogs that live at the yard and they usually greet people. The office is just a place to sit and do the billing. We don't try to sound like a big corporation. We are just a local business doing our work. We stay focused on the daily tasks and making sure the trucks are loaded properly before they head out.
