P.J. Agro Foods

We are based in the APMC yard over in Batawadi. If you have ever been to the yard, you know how hectic it can be. There are tractors, trucks, and people everywhere, especially in the mornings. We deal with food products and agro goods. Our spot at P.J. Agro Foods is right in the middle of all that action. It's not a place for a quiet chat, that's for sure. We spend our time checking the quality of the produce and getting orders ready for the buyers. The floors are usually covered with bits of grain or vegetable scraps. It is just the way an APMC yard looks. We have been here for a long time, so we know most of the other traders. We don't really have a formal office, just a small space where we keep the books and a phone. Most of the business happens face-to-face on the yard floor. Batawadi is a good location because it's well-connected for the transport trucks. We see a lot of different people every day. Some are farmers bringing in their haul, others are retailers looking for stock. It’s a very grounded way of working. No one wears suits here. We just wear what’s comfortable for a long day of moving sacks and talking to suppliers. It is a tough job sometimes, but it’s what we know how to do.
