Negila Siddha Farmer Producer Company Limited is over at number 96 in Kurankote, which is part of Koratagere. It’s a rural spot where farming is the main thing everyone does. We set this up to help the local guys get their stuff together. The office is simple, just a room in the village where we keep the books and meet up. Koratagere is a place with a lot of history, and we are proud to be working here. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the area well. The work involves a lot of walking out to the fields and talking to people about their harvest. We aren't trying to sell anyone on a dream, we are just dealing with the reality of the weather and the soil every day. Sometimes the rain doesn't come when it should, and we all sit around and worry together. Other times, the harvest is good, and the village is happy. We don't have a glossy brochure or a fancy website. If you want to know about us, you just come to Kurankote and ask. We handle the seeds and the fertilizers and try to get a good price for the grain. It’s basic, hard work that doesn't ever really stop. We like being part of the village life here and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. It’s about sticking together and making sure the work gets done right.
