Vikas Vidyashram Matriculation School

Vikas Vidyashram Matriculation School is located on Arayalam Road in Arani. It’s a busy road, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading to work or school. The school building is a two-story structure that has seen better days, but it holds up fine. We have a blue gate that usually stays open until the late bell rings. Arani is known for its heat, so we rely on the few trees we have in the yard to provide some shade for the children. The playground is mostly just dirt and sand, which means the kids come back into class with dusty shoes every day. We spend a lot of time sweeping the floors. The teachers are mostly local people who have lived in Arani their whole lives. We don't have any high-tech gadgets or air-conditioned rooms. It’s just benches, blackboards, and a lot of textbooks. The office is right at the front and it’s usually piled high with papers and government forms. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just have to open the windows wider. During the rainy season, the road outside gets quite muddy, and we have to put down some stones so people don't slip. It’s a very basic, honest kind of place. We’ve been on Arayalam Road for quite a long time, and everyone in the area knows where we are. It’s just a regular school for regular families.
