Tiruvannamalai is known for oil crops, so we grouped together to form the Tiruvannamalai Oil Crops Fed Farmers Producer Company Limited. Most of us have been growing groundnuts and seeds for years. It's what our fathers did and their fathers before them. Staying in Narayanakuppam keeps us close to the farms. We aren't fancy people. Most of the time, our boots are covered in mud or dust from the fields. We started this company because the middlemen were taking too much, and we needed a way to hold our own.
