Sri Renugambal Collective Farming Producer Company Limited

Our place is at No.1328 on the Padavedu Main Road, in a small spot called A.K Padavedu Village. Being in Polur Taluk, we are surrounded by hills and a lot of history, but mostly we are surrounded by farms. Sri Renugambal Collective Farming Producer Company Limited was set up so that the people here in Tiruvannamalai district could have a way to work together. It’s not a fancy setup. The office is right on the main road, so we hear the buses and tractors going by all day long. We spend a lot of time talking to the local farmers who walk in with mud on their boots. We deal with the reality of farming—things like pests, water shortages, and the cost of transport. It’s a collective, so everyone has a bit of a say in what happens. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write nice stories about us. We just know that if we don't work together, it’s much harder to get a fair price for what we grow. The sun gets really hot out here in the afternoons, so we do most of the heavy lifting in the mornings. It’s honest work, and it’s what we know. We’ve been here in the village for a long time and we plan to stay right here on Padavedu road for the foreseeable future.
