Yamazen Machinery & Tools India Pvt. Ltd. is situated at Plot No-69, Sivananda Nagar 17th Street, in the Sentil Nagar area of Kolathur. We’ve been at this address for a good while. It’s a bit of a residential-meets-commercial zone, so it’s not as loud as the main industrial parks, but we still keep busy. The office and the storage area are all in the same building. We have rows of machinery and tools stacked up. It’s not the most organized looking place if you just walk in, but we know where everything is. My morning usually starts with checking the emails and then heading out to the floor to see what needs to be moved. The humidity in Chennai can be tough on the equipment, so we try to keep things covered and dry. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years. It’s a small team here, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from answering phones to packing crates. The street outside gets narrow, especially when a delivery truck is trying to turn around. We just get on with the day and try to make sure everything gets where it needs to go. It’s a basic, honest operation that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday.
