Our place is located at 23, Karaikal Ammayar Street, over in the Indra Nagar part of town. If you’re looking for the Alwartirunag post office, we’re not too far from there. Trident Home Furnishings is basically where we spend most of our waking hours, surrounded by rolls of fabric and various samples. It’s a bit dusty in the back rooms because of all the textiles, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. We aren't trying to be some high-end boutique with bright lights and mirrors. It’s more of a practical space where we look at patterns and talk to suppliers. The street outside can get pretty cramped with scooters and delivery trucks, especially in the mornings. We’ve been at this for a while now, and the routine of checking stock and sorting out orders is just second nature. Sometimes we get a big shipment in and there’s hardly room to walk around the office for a day or two. We just work around the piles of rugs or curtains until they get sent out. The staff here is small, just a handful of folks from the neighborhood mostly. We talk a lot about our families and what’s for lunch while we handle the bookkeeping. It’s a local business through and through. We don’t have a big marketing plan; we just do our jobs and go home. That's pretty much the long and short of it for us here.
