Heylands Exports (P) Limited

We operate out of number 8 on the Periya Colony Extension Road in Athipet. It is a quiet enough area most days, except for when the big containers are moving in and out. We do export work. That means a lot of boxes, a lot of tape, and a lot of checking lists over and over. We aren't some massive company with a glass building and a fountain. It is more of a functional space where we get the goods ready to go overseas. The office is small and tucked away in the front. We spend most of our time out back making sure the counts are right. Mistakes are a huge pain to fix once things are on a ship, so we try to be careful. Athipet has changed a bit since we started, there is more traffic now. We know the local loaders and the truck drivers who come through here. Sometimes things get delayed at the port and we just have to wait around. We just drink some coffee and wait for the paperwork to clear. It is a lot of back and forth on the phone. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. We just handle the orders as they come in. Most of our clients have been with us for years. They know where to find us. The road outside can get a bit muddy during the monsoon, which makes loading a bit of a mess. But we always manage to get things out.
