Delux Refrigeration & Aircondition 1

We are set up at No 2/264 in Padi, tucked away right behind the MMM Hospital. Being near the hospital means there is always traffic and people moving around, so we never have a dull moment. At Delux Refrigeration & Aircondition 1, we spend most of our time surrounded by air conditioning units that have been brought in for servicing. The shop is a bit cluttered with copper pipes, gas cylinders, and various tools spread across the tables. It is a practical space, not meant for showing off, just for getting the repairs done. Chennai heat is something else, so we know how important it is for people to have their cooling working right. We have a small crew and we have all been doing this for a long time, so we can usually figure out a problem just by listening to the machine. The floor is concrete and stays a bit cool, which is nice when the sun is beating down on the roof. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. Our customers are mostly folks from the neighborhood or people who work at the hospital. We don't have any big mission statements written on the walls; we just focus on the job at hand and try to stay out of the rain when the monsoon hits. It is a simple life in Padi, keeping things cool and fixing what is broken for the local people who stop by.
