S. B. P. Cold Storage Private Limited

You can find us at the back side of Sindhi College, right off Poonamalle High Road in Noombal Village. It’s a bit of a tucked-away spot, but that works well for a cold storage business like ours. S. B. P. Cold Storage has been here for years, serving the local area and the city beyond. Being behind the college makes it a bit quieter than being directly on the high road, though you can still hear the traffic from Poonamalle all day and night. The facility is large and, as you can imagine, it’s always very cold inside the units. We spend our days moving between the freezing temperatures of the storage rooms and the humid heat of the outdoors. It’s a bit of a shock to the system every time we walk through the doors, but you get used to it. The office part is just a small room near the entrance where we keep the logs and the temperature charts. It’s a 24-hour kind of job because you can’t ever let the cooling systems fail for even a minute. We have a backup generator that’s quite noisy, but it’s a lifesaver when the power goes out. The guys working here are used to wearing heavy jackets even in the middle of a hot summer. We don’t have any fancy signage or a big marketing budget. We just provide the space people need to keep their goods from spoiling. It’s honest, cold work and we’ve been doing it a long time here.
