You can find us over on Dhanalakshmi Street in the Valsaravakkam area. Our office is at number 144. It is just a regular building on a normal street, nothing really special to look at from the outside. We handle global trading matters, which basically means we move goods around and try to make sure the paperwork is correct. It might sound like an exciting job, but most of our time is actually spent on the phone or writing emails. We started out small and decided to stay here in Janakai Nagar because we like the neighborhood. Various types of products pass through our hands depending on what our contacts are looking for at the time. Usually, the office is a bit cluttered with product samples and piles of files. We try our best to stay organized, but there is always a lot to keep track of. My cousin helps out with the logistics and the shipping details. Big teams or fancy lobbies are not things we have to impress people. Working from this space is enough for us to make sure things get sent out to the right places. Sometimes there are long delays at the port which causes us a lot of stress. But that is just how this business goes. We have been doing this for several years now. The small tea stall at the corner is where we go when we need a break from the screens. It is a very simple setup here and we prefer it that way.
