Kamakshi Lamipack Pvt. Ltd. is located at No.68, though some of the older people around here still call it No.40. We are right on the 2nd Main Road in the Ambattur Industrial Estate. This area is full of factories and workshops, so there is always the sound of machines running and trucks backing up. We do lamipack work, which means we spend a lot of time around materials and packaging stuff. The office is right next to the work floor, so it gets a bit dusty and loud. We have been in Ambattur for quite a while and have seen the estate change over the years. It used to be much quieter, but now it is packed with businesses of all kinds. Our team is mostly local people who know the area well. We start our shifts early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. The building is a simple industrial structure with a tin roof in some parts. We don't have any fancy signs or a big lobby. You just walk in and see people working. Most of our day is spent making sure the machines are fed with material and that the finished packs are stacked up correctly. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we have tea together outside near the gate when things slow down a bit and the evening shift starts.
