L G Textile is tucked away on Karupparayan Kovil Street in Kumaranandhapuram. If you know where the Shiva Theater is, we’re just a short walk from there at number 26. It’s a typical local street, pretty narrow and usually full of people. We deal with all kinds of fabrics and cloth materials day in and day out. The shop isn't massive, but we pack a lot into it. You’ll find rolls of fabric leaning against the walls and stacks of stuff waiting to be sorted. Being near the theater helps people find us, though parking can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We’ve been part of the Kumaranandhapuram community for some time now. It’s mostly just us handling the customers and making sure the stock is right. There’s always dust from the cotton and the smell of new clothes in the air. We don't have any big corporate goals; we just like selling good cloth to people who need it. Some days are slow, while others are a complete scramble when a new shipment arrives. We usually have tea together in the afternoon when things quiet down a bit. It’s a simple business. We know most of the regulars by name. People stop by to chat as much as they do to buy anything. That’s the way it is on this street. We just try to keep things organized and helpful for anyone who walks through the door.
