S L Cables

We are based at 45, Kanji Road in Mudalipalayam. This area is known for having a lot of textile and industrial units, so we fit right in with our cable business. At S L Cables, we spend most of the day dealing with huge rolls of wire and different types of casing. The warehouse is a big open space with high ceilings, which is good because it stays a bit cooler that way. We have machines that wind the cables and others that test them to make sure they aren't going to short out. It is a lot of physical work, moving the heavy spools around and loading them onto the trucks. Kanji Road can get pretty muddy when it rains, so we have to be careful when the lorries are backing in. We have a small office tucked away in the front where we keep the ledgers and handle the billing. It is not a place for suits and ties. Most of us wear work clothes that can handle a bit of dirt. There is a small tea shop just down the road where we go when we need a break from the noise of the machinery. We have been here in Mudalipalayam for a while and we have a steady routine that seems to work for everyone. The cables we make end up in all sorts of buildings and factories around the region. It is honest work and we just focus on getting the orders out.
