G L Garments

G L Garments is located at No 22 in the Mariamman Layout. We are on Sivam Theater Road, which is very close to the Gandhi Nagar Post Office. It’s a good, central spot and we’ve been here for several years. Our shop is mostly filled with racks of clothes and rolls of different fabrics. We don't have any of those bright, fancy displays you see in the big city shops. It’s just a place where we work on garments every day. The noise from Sivam Theater Road is always there, and we get a lot of people walking by after they visit the post office. We have a small team of workers who have been with us for a long time. We spend most of our hours behind the sewing machines or talking to customers who come in. It’s a very hands-on business. We don’t do any big marketing or have a fancy website. Most of our business comes from the people living right here in the layout. We like the local feel of the area and knowing our neighbors. We open up the shop early in the morning and usually head home once the sun goes down. It’s simple, steady work. We focus on making sure the clothes are made well and that people are happy with what they get. We are just a regular part of the neighborhood, and that’s fine by us.
