Mathi Exports

Mathi Exports is based at No. 132 Pudupalayam in Vijayapuram. It’s a decent-sized space where we manage our export business every day. Vijayapuram has a lot of small industries, so we fit right in with the rest of the neighborhood. The building is a simple one, nothing fancy about the architecture or the inside. We spend most of our hours here, tracking orders and making sure the goods are ready for transit. It can be quite a lot of work when multiple shipments are due at the same time. The air is often filled with the sound of local traffic and the nearby workshops. We don’t have a receptionist or a big lobby; you just walk in and you’ll see us working at our desks. Sometimes the water supply is a bit irregular, so we keep a few tanks filled up just in case. It’s a very practical way of living and working. Most of our staff have been with us since the beginning, so we are more like a small family than coworkers. We don't put much stock in big titles or complicated processes. We just get the items packed, get the forms signed, and move on to the next task. It’s honest work and we’re glad to be doing it here in Pudupalayam. The office stays open late sometimes if a truck is delayed, but usually we head out by evening.
