We have been at the N M New Building for a while now. Most people around here know us as Jayam Exports. It’s right near the M G P landmark, so we aren't hard to find if you’re walking by. My small team and I spend most of our days getting things ready for shipping. It’s usually quite busy with boxes and paperwork scattered around. We don't have a big fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a regular workspace where we get things done. Sometimes the phones ring too much and the coffee gets cold before anyone can drink it. That's just how it goes in this trade. We handle the export side of things, dealing with different items depending on what's needed. It involves a lot of checking lists and making sure the labels are right. Dealing with logistics isn't always smooth, especially when there are delays at the port or paperwork gets stuck somewhere. We just try to stay on top of it. Some days are longer than others, especially when a big shipment is due to go out. We usually grab lunch from one of the shops nearby and eat while talking about what needs to happen next. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s what we do and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of it. Being near M G P makes the commute easy enough for most of the staff. We just keep our heads down and work.
