Gowarthini Exports

Our place is situated on Palladam Road at S. F. No. 648/2, right in the Veerapandi Post area. If you know this road, you know how much traffic there is with all the trucks going back and forth. It’s a noisy spot but it’s good for business because everything is moving. We started Gowarthini Exports a few years back and it’s been a lot of hard work. My brother and I run the daily things, and we have two other guys who help with the packing and the warehouse stuff. It’s not a polished office with glass walls or anything. We have a simple desk, some old chairs, and a lot of logbooks. We deal with exports, mainly focusing on garments and textiles which are big around here. A lot of our day is spent checking the quality of the stitching and making sure the counts are right. Sometimes we find mistakes and have to send things back to the factory, which is always a headache. The weather gets really hot in the afternoons, so we usually take a break and go to the tea stall down the road. We don't have a big mission or anything like that. We just want to make sure the containers are full and the paperwork is done correctly. It’s a lot of manual work and long hours, but it’s what we do to get by every single day.
