Being in an industrial complex means there is always a lot of noise from the other units, but you get used to it after a week or two. Our space is tucked away and we have got enough room for the inventory and a small corner for the paperwork. We spend a lot of time on the phone or responding to emails while the guys in the back are packing boxes. It gets pretty dusty when the wind picks up outside, so we spend a lot of time cleaning off the surfaces. We do not really do anything flashy here. Most of our day is just checking the weight of packages and making sure the address is written clearly so nothing gets lost. People sometimes ask what we do exactly, and it is mostly just moving goods from one place to another. We have a few regulars who stop by for a chat, which is nice when things get repetitive. The street outside is usually lined with delivery bikes and big trucks, so getting in and out can be a bit of a puzzle. We like the area though because everything we need is pretty close by. It is not a corporate headquarters, just a place where we put in the hours and try to keep things running smoothly without making any big mistakes.
