Vinayaga Nursing College

Our college is located down in Ariyalur, specifically at Vinayaga Nagar in Keezhapaluvur. It is a bit of a drive if you are coming from the main city areas, but we have our spot here near P. Box 1851. Being a nursing college means there is always something going on at odd hours. Students are usually seen in their white uniforms running between the different classes and the labs. It is not a quiet place by any means. We have got the regular setup you would expect for training nurses, which means lots of books and medical equipment that constantly needs cleaning or fixing. The staff here mostly live nearby or travel in from the surrounding villages every morning. We spend a lot of time making sure the students actually know how to handle the practical stuff. It is not just about reading a textbook. They have to learn how to actually help people when things get difficult. Sometimes the weather in Tamil Nadu gets really hot, and the ceiling fans just move the warm air around, but we all just get through it together. People in this part of Ariyalur know the building well. We do not have a big marketing team or anyone like that. It is just the teachers and the office folks doing the daily paperwork and keeping the records straight. The students stay busy with their shifts and their studies, trying to get their qualifications finished. We just keep the doors open for them.
