A B V College Of Catering

Our place, A B V College Of Catering, sits over at No.2 in Viswas Nagar. It is right by the Chennai Bye-Pass Road in the Palpannai area of Trichy. If you are driving past, you cannot really miss the turn-off. We spend a lot of time in the kitchens here. It gets pretty hot when all the stoves are going at once, especially with the Trichy humidity, but that is part of the job. The students are usually running around in their white uniforms, trying not to spill anything while they practice their cutting or cooking. The building itself is practical. We have spaces for theory classes and then the big areas for the actual hands-on work. It is not a corporate office environment; it is more of a place where things actually get done. You can usually smell whatever is being cooked from the hallway. Sometimes a dish does not turn out right and we have to start over, which is just how you learn. We have got some basic equipment that has seen a lot of use over the years. The bypass road nearby is always noisy with trucks and buses, but we are used to it. Most of the folks who come here are just looking to get some skills so they can find work in hotels or restaurants later on. We do not have fancy brochures or marketing people. We just show the students the kitchens and let them see what the real work looks like. It is a busy, greasy, and honest kind of place.
