Vasantham Collective Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are over at No.5/118 on Middle Street in Nettavelampatty. It’s a small place in the Thuraiyur area of Trichy. Vasantham Collective Farmers Producer Company Limited is basically a local effort. We operate out of this building on Middle Street, which is right in the middle of the village as the name says. Life here is centered around the crops and the weather. We don’t have any marketing people or fancy writers; we just write down what we need to and get on with the farming. The office is small and usually smells a bit like the grain we handle. We have some desks and a few chairs for when the farmers come by to settle their accounts or talk about the next planting cycle. Trichy can get incredibly hot, so the ceiling fans in the office are always running at full speed. We aren't looking to impress anyone with a big corporate image. We just want to make sure the work we do in Nettavelampatty helps everyone involved in the collective. Sometimes we have long meetings that don't seem to go anywhere, but that’s just how it is when you have a lot of people trying to work together. We take things one day at a time and try to stay on top of the work. It’s a basic life, but it’s what we know. There’s always someone stopping by for a chat, which makes the long afternoons pass by a little bit faster.
