St Georges Montessori Matriculation School

You can find us over by the airport in Trichy, in the Andil Nagar area. Being so close to the airport means we hear the planes overhead pretty often throughout the day, but the kids don’t seem to mind it much anymore. We use the Montessori way for the younger ones, which basically means they get to move around and do things with their hands instead of just sitting still. It can look a bit chaotic to someone just walking in from the street, but there is usually a reason for the mess and the activity. We also have the matriculation side for when the students get older and need more structure. The building has been here for years and it’s seen a lot of students pass through its doors. We have a small courtyard where everyone gathers in the morning for the start of the day. It’s not a huge, sprawling campus, just a local school for local families who live nearby. Most of the people who work here have been part of this neighborhood for a long time. We don't use big words to describe what we do here. We just teach the kids what they need to know. Some days are better than others, especially when the weather is nice and we can be outside. When it rains, everything gets a bit more difficult, but we just deal with it. We aren't trying to be famous.
