Our school is located on Pulianthope High Road, right at number 119. It’s a well-known spot in this part of Chennai. If you walk past during the day, you’ll definitely hear the noise of the girls in the playground or reciting lessons. The building is older, but it’s sturdy and has seen a lot of classes come and go over the years. We have a lot of girls from the nearby streets who walk here every morning. It’s a government school, so things are pretty simple and straightforward. We don't have fancy air conditioning or anything like that. Instead, we have big windows and heavy wooden desks that have been around for a long time. The teachers here have been part of the Pulianthope community for years. They know the families and the local shopkeepers well. Every morning starts with the assembly, and then it’s just a rush of lessons until the lunch bell rings. We try to keep the place tidy, though with so many kids around, it’s a constant job. There’s always someone needing a pen or a notebook. We’re just here doing our bit to make sure these girls get their education without too much fuss or extra cost. It gets a bit crowded on the road outside during drop-off and pick-up times, but that’s just life in Chennai for you. We’re just a regular school making sure the day-to-day work of teaching gets done for the local kids.
