Sri Saraswathi Cafe

Sri Saraswathi Cafe is located at No 27 on Rockins Road, right near the Trichy Railway Junction. Being across from the station means we see a lot of people coming and going every single day. Some are rushing to catch a train and just grab something quickly, while others sit for a bit longer if their train is delayed. It’s been our daily routine for a long time now. The building isn't brand new, but it works for what we do. We open up early because the trains don't wait for anyone. You can usually hear the station announcements if the wind is blowing the right way. We spend most of our time behind the counter or in the kitchen making sure everything is ready for the morning rush. It gets pretty noisy with the traffic outside, but you get used to it after a week or so. We aren't trying to be a fancy restaurant, just a place where you can get a meal. The staff here are mostly locals who have been with us through thick and thin. Sometimes we run out of things if a big group shows up suddenly, but we do our best to manage with what we have. It's a small space, so it gets crowded during the lunch hour. We just keep the tables wiped and the coffee hot. If you're coming from the junction, we're just a short walk away. It’s a simple life running a cafe in such a busy part of Trichy.
