Azeez Biryani

Our shop is at Number 1, right on the Tanjore Main Road in Tiruverambur. We are very close to the D Nagar Bus Stop, so we get a lot of commuters stopping by for a bite. It’s a convenient spot for anyone traveling through Trichy. We specialize in one thing mostly, and that’s getting the biryani ready for the crowds. The kitchen starts working very early to get the rice and meat just right. We have a few tables inside, but a lot of our business is people just grabbing something to take home with them. It’s a bit of a hectic environment, especially around midday when the buses pull in nearby. We don't have any fancy air conditioning or velvet chairs. It’s just a simple room with fans on the ceiling and the smell of spices in the air. We’ve been here for years, and most of the staff have grown up in this area. We aren't trying to be a five-star restaurant. We just want to provide a meal that fills you up. The benches might be a little worn and the walls could use a new coat of paint, but we focus more on what is happening in the big cooking pots. It’s a loud, busy, and sometimes messy job, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. We just show up and cook every single day.
