Cauvery Restaurant

We’re located right at the Sathyam Hotel building in the Townhall area of Trichy. It’s a very busy part of town, especially being so close to the Cauveri Bridge in Chinthamani. You can always hear the traffic and the people moving outside. We’ve been serving food here for a while, and it’s mostly about the daily grind of the kitchen. We get the vegetables in early, start the coffee, and get the breakfast ready for people heading to work. It’s not a fancy place with white tablecloths, just a regular restaurant where you can get a meal. The humidity in Trichy can be something else, especially when the stoves are all going at once. We have a small team of cooks and waiters who have been with us for a bit. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. People just know where we are because they pass the bridge every day. It's a simple operation at No 1. We spend a lot of time cleaning tables and making sure the kitchen is stocked up. It’s hard work and the hours are long, but that’s what running a restaurant in a place like Townhall is like. We just try to keep the food consistent and the place open when people are hungry. It’s a plain, honest way to make a living and we have been here at this bridge for many years now.
