French Cake

Our little bakery is tucked away in Sanjay Flats at No 72/G1, right on Vayalur Road in Trichy. We are pretty close to Bishop Heber College, so we see a lot of students coming and going throughout the day. Kumaran Nagar is a nice area, usually quite lively with people walking around. We started French Cake just to have a place where people could pick up something sweet without having to go all the way into the main city center. It’s not a huge shop, just a small space where we do our baking every morning. We get the ovens going early so everything is ready by the time the first customers show up. Sometimes the smell of the bread drifts out onto the street. It’s mostly just me and a couple of helpers keeping the place running. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It’s just us. We’ve had the same counters and shelves since we opened. We know the neighbors well, and they often stop by for a chat while they’re out running errands. Dealing with the Trichy heat can be a bit much sometimes, but we manage. If you’re ever near the college or walking down Vayalur Road, you’ll probably see our sign. We aren't trying to be the biggest bakery in town, just a reliable one for the folks living nearby in the flats. We just bake and sell, nothing else.
