Sit N Taste

We are over at 5a Mathivannnan Towers in Sabapathy Colony, right on Allithurai Road in the Puthur area of Trichy. It’s a busy part of town and we’ve been here for a while now. The name is pretty much what we offer—you sit down and you taste what we’ve cooked. We don’t have a massive space, but we make the most of what we have. The building is easy to spot once you’re on Allithurai Road. Every morning starts with getting the kitchen ready and making sure we have enough supplies for the day. Trichy gets quite hot, so we try to keep the place as cool and comfortable as possible for whoever walks in. It’s a local operation through and through. The people working here live nearby and we all just want to do a good job. We don’t use any fancy words to describe what we do. It’s just food. We get a lot of students and office folks because of our location. Sometimes it gets a little loud when the lunchtime crowd hits, but that’s just how it goes in Puthur. We aren't part of any big chain. It’s just this one spot where we put in our hours every day. If the chairs are moved around or the menu has a few handwritten notes, it’s because we’re actually working here and things change. We just keep it real for our neighbors.
